Look at the players from Team 9 & 10 at Sunday’s 10th annual IGBRR Preseason Prospect Camp at Triton Central HS.
Team 9
#102 Mya Corbin 2028 / 5’5 / CG / Jeffersonville
Mya is part of a talented 28’ class for the Red Devils and would expect she will be competing to be part of the varsity rotation this coming season. Small feisty guard that plays with a big motor on both ends. Can handle the ball as a primary, nice balance between setting up teammates and finding her scoring opportunities. Active defender that has the ability to go coral rebounds from the guard spot despite her smaller size.
#118 Amelia Wethington 2028 / 5’7 / CG / Danville
Amelia has a couple of varsity seasons of experience under her belt and with graduation, including her sister, would expect her production and role could jump dramatically this winter for the Warriors. She is a lefty athletic guard that can handle the ball as a primary, is agile and shifty on the attack and has nice balance between setting up teammates and finding her shots. Capable shooter out to three-point line with the ability to make plays on the attack with her athleticism. As she continues to add strength her game will continue to blossom.
#120 Jersey Huff 2028 / 5’9 / SG / Martinsville
Jersey was in the Artesian rotation last year as a sophomore. She has nice length, a strong wing frame and some versatility to her game. She is comfortable with the ball from the perimeter, smooth three-point stroke and can compete at the basket with her size and strength. Active hands and feet on defense with good anticipation and can go rebound against forwards. Would expect her role will continue to grow this coming season for the Artesians.
#136 Payton Brodnik 2029 / 5’7 / CG / Brownsburg
Seen a lot of Payton over the last year, one of those kids that seems to always be in the gym. Solid athlete with a nice motor that affects play on both ends with her high energy hard-nosed play. She can handle the ball as needed, is a confident shooter out to the three-point line with range and willing to take on contact going to the bucket. Her work shows and is translating as she had a productive camp.
#148 Addilyn Tarr 2029 / 5’11 / SF / Martinsville
Saw Addilyn several times over the summer on her club team and she has nice upside with her combination of length, agility and skill from the wing. She can knock down the three, is fluid on the attack to the basket, disruptive with her length defensively and can get boards against forwards. As she continues to add strength and polish her wing skillset she has a lot of potential in the 29’ class as a versatile prospect. She had a noticeably productive camp. A sophomore that could have a breakout season for Martinsville.
#159 Olivia Spencer 2030 / 5’6 / SF / Bloomington North
Olivia has some strength to her frame for a youngster, is comfortable with the ball from the perimeter, has a solid catch and shoot jumper and can put together a straight-line drive from the wing where she is able to take on contact at the second level. Active defender and can go get boards against forwards. If she grows a bit more her natural position is from the wing, if not she will need to continue to develop as an off guard to maximize value at her size.
#166 Joydan Martin 2030 / 5’11 / CG / New Albany
Joy already has a lot of high school ready tools and upside as she enters her frosh season for the Bulldogs. She has a long strong frame, athletic playmaking abilities on both ends with a backcourt skillset. That combination of size, athleticism, and skill give her a great deal of versatility. She was productive throughout and caught our staff’s attention with her athletic play at her size. Expect she will make an impact for the Bulldogs fairly quickly this winter.
#214 Nova Seversen 2030 / 5’5 / PG / Princeton
Had heard Nova’s name this summer as a move in but this was our first live look and she lived up to what we had heard, As a youngster, she has an elite combination of mature instincts and backcourt skill from the lead guard spot. She is a solid athlete, is aggressive and confident in her play and has playmaking abilities on both ends. She was selected to the All-Camp team by the coaches for her energetic poised productive play throughout camp.
#219 Addison Buchanan 2030 / 5’2 / SG / Salem
Addie is an athlete and a competitive bulldog that plays with a big motor. Put those two together, and despite her smaller size, she is going to consistently make plays on both ends. She is active, can score the ball in multiple ways including knocking down the three in bunches and can handle the ball as needed. She is a pesky defender and puts a lot pressure on her matchup on both ends. Expect she will be able to help the Lions pretty quickly in her career.
Team 10
#91 Layla Compton 2027 / 5’5 / CG / Triton Central
Layla is a high level three sport athlete that has solid backcourt skills. She is quick and fluid on the attack, can handle the ball as needed, and is a capable jump shooter. Defensively she can apply ball pressure with her athleticism and will chase down boards from the guard spot. Her production has increased each year for the Tigers and expect she will be leaned on for a big senior season. She had a solid day at camp.
#111 Jillian Conrad 2028 / 5’10 / SF / Danville
We were able to see a lot of Jillian heading into her freshman season where she had a breakout year. However, we haven’t seen her too much over the last year , so it was nice to get her in the gym for the day. The incoming junior has a lot versatility in her game with her combination of length, athleticism and skill from the wing. She led Danville in both scoring and rebounding as a sophomore and will once again be the go-to threat for the Warriors. She was voted to the All-Camp team by the coaches for her versatile productive play, with one coach noting her as “the top talent in the gym today”.
#123 Avalee McNeil 2029 / 5’8 / SF / Center Grove
Avalee has some length with a strong forward frame and some backcourt skills that give nice versatility to her game. She is comfortable handling the ball from the perimeter, can knock down the jumper out to the three-point line and has the skill and agility to make plays going to the basket. With her size and strength, she can defend a few different spots and go rebound it at a high clip against frontliners. Would expect she will be competing for a varsity spot on the defending 4A state champion roster this winter.
#143 Justus Ellis 2029 / 5’8 / SG / Pendleton Heights
Justus has some length, is a solid athlete and brings a big motor, while being fluid and instinctual in her play. She gets after her matchup defensively and is aggressive and confident in her role on both ends. Justus was a productive part of the JV squad as a frosh last season. The Abrians bring back a talented and experienced lineup and add in a couple transfers, so not sure Justus will break into the rotation this season but expect to see her soon.
#171 Alexa Griffin 2029 / 5’7 / SG / Eastbrook
Alexa has nice length to her frame, is a solid athlete that has a productive backcourt skillset. She can handle the ball as needed, scores it in a variety of ways and has a smooth confidant jumper out to the three-point line. She finds open space, is shot ready and is quick on the release with the ability to knock down threes in bunches. Active reliable defender that competes with nice energy on both ends.
#173 Hadley Keith 2029 / 5’4 / PG / Salem
We are familiar with Hadley from our Futures Camps where she won the skills competition a couple years ago. She handles it well against pressure as a PG, plays with good pace and instincts, and sees the floor well while on the move. Aggressive and agile on the attack, with nice balance in her game, and big motor play on both ends. She once again was able to capture another Skills Challenge championship, while also being named to the All-Camp team by the coaches for her consistent productive lead guard play throughout the day.
#175 Olivia Murphy 2029 / 5’7 / PG / Blackford
Olivia has some length to her guard frame, is a solid backcourt athlete that shows ability to create shots and get buckets in a variety of ways. Shoots the ball well out to the three-point line, has nice instincts for the game on both ends and is efficient and productive in her play. She had a big frosh season for Blackford and would expect her to start stacking big numbers over the next three years.
#231 Raelynn Hayse 2030 / 5’5 / PG / Plainfield
Raelynn is a solid backcourt athlete, she can handle the ball as a primary, has a nice feel for the action and makes good decisions with the ball. She sees the floor well on the attack and is balanced between setting up teammates and getting her shots. Active defender that plays with good energy. As she continues to add strength to her frame her skillset should continue to blossom.
#235 Annalyse Vermillion 2029 / 5’6 / SG / Cascade
Annalyse has some length to her guard frame, moves around the court nicely and fairly athletic in her play. Is balanced between her attacks and jumpers with ability to knock down the three and slash her way to the basket where she doesn’t shy away from contact. Active on defense with good anticipation for the play and will go grab a board from the guard spot.
