Look at the players from Team 3 & 4 at Sunday’s 10th annual IGBRR Preseason Prospect Camp at Triton Central HS.
Team 3
#108 Serenity Conyers 2028 / 5’6 / PG / Muncie Central
Serenity is a dynamic guard in the 28’ class that will a big addition to the Muncie Central lineup after transferring from Lapel after only one season with the Bulldogs. She can handle as a primary, is athletic and shifty on the attack and can knock down the jumper out to the three-point line if you give her too much room to deal with her quickness. She is aggressive and agile, putting a lot of pressure on her matchup on both ends. The Bearcats will have an extremely athletic duo with her and Hickey. Serenity was named to the All-Camp team by the coaches for her productive play throughout the camp.
#114 Ella McCrary 2028 / 5’5 / SG / Franklin
Ella has a strong guard frame, moves to space well, is shot ready and quick on the release with a smooth jumper out to the three-point line. She sees the floor well on the move, plays with a good feel for the action with high motor play on both ends. She shot the ball well in our views and it didn’t take opponents long to recognize she can knock down the jumper and needed to be marked. Ella has a couple seasons of varsity play under her belt at Franklin and would expect her role to keep evolving.
#130 Jamila Carrillo 2028 / 5’8 / PF / Providence
Caught Jamilia a few times during the summer and her games is drastically different than younger sister Jimena. She plays along the frontcourt, has nice length and agility around the basket and plays bigger than her size with her athleticism. She rebounds her area against bigger forwards, is a versatile defender with her size and mobility and has the skill to make plays out of the mid-post. I would expect her role and production to grow even more this coming season for the Pioneers.
#142 Arianna Dunaway 2029 / 5’9 / SF / Union County
Seen Arianna several times over the last year and have noted her play, including this summer playing up on her club team. She has nice length, is a solid athlete with a versatile skillset. She is comfortable with the ball from the perimeter, a productive jump shooter out to the three-point line and can create going to the basket with her length and agility. She was in the varsity rotation last year for the Patriots, as a part of a talented UC frosh class, and would expect her role to continue to grow this season. Thought she stood out with her play throughout the day and has the tools to blossom into a really productive prospect in the class.
#150 Eva Walker 2029 / 5′ 7 / SG / LaPorte
Eva had a productive frosh season for the Slicers and expect her role to continue to grow going into this winter. Strong and feisty guard that is a solid athlete that consistently makes plays on both ends with her instincts and skill. Fluid on the attack, can handle the ball as needed, shows ability to score the ball in a variety of ways. Plays with nice pace, makes good decisions with ball with overall active productive backcourt play. She is setup with her skillset, feel for the game and motor to have a very productive career for LaPorte
#151 Lulu Webb 2029 / 5′ 11 / SF / Greensburg
Lulu is a prospect that has the tools and versatility to make a lot of waves in the 29’ class over the next three seasons. She is long, fluid, and shows the ability to score the ball at all levels. Capable shooter from the three-point line, can knock down the pull up jumper off of the bounce and can make plays going to the basket with her length. If she can add additional explosiveness to her attacks, she will be an even a more difficult matchup. She was part of the varsity rotation last season as a frosh on a talented Pirates squad and would expect her role to continue to grow. She had a very good and productive showing at camp.
#160 Amelia Theising 2030 / 6’0 / SF / East Central
Amelia was in last month for Futures Camp and she made a statement at that event with a great showing that placed her on the All-Camp team. She has a long strong frontline frame for her age and is fluid and skilled from the wing. She can shoot the three, capable of skilled attacks out of the mid-post and has the size and strength to be physical at the basket. The Trojans are an experienced and deep team but would expect she will see the varsity rotation sooner rather than later. Once again, she had another nice showing at camp, including winning the Hot Shot competition.
#184 Kinleigh Randle 2029 / 5’7 / PG / Carroll
Kinleigh had a breakout frosh season as a starting point guard a year ago for the Cougars. She has nice length to her frame, wingspan and is fluid and athletic in her play. She handles as a primary, is poised playing with nice pace and has playmaking instincts. She is athletic on the attack and can create shots going to the bucket combined with a smooth stroke on her jumper. As she keeps polishing her skillset and consistency, she has nice upside as a backcourt prospect in the class. Our first extended live look and was impressed with her play.
#209 Makiyah Lewis 2030 / 5’3 / PG / Beech Grove
Small lead guard that is a quick and shifty on the attack and excels making plays in transition with good court vision and instincts for the play. Capable shooter and can make plays slashing to the bucket with her agility and swiftness. Defensively her athleticism allows her to be disruptive on the ball and in the passing lanes.
#236 Marleigh Hartsfield 2030 / 5’3 / PG / Princeton
Marleigh, while on the smaller side, is athletic and feisty in her play on both ends. She handles as a primary, can initiate offense and sees the floor well on the move. She plays with nice energy and puts a lot of pressure on her matchup with her quickness and intensity. With some major backcourt graduation last season I would expect she could compete early on in her career for varsity minutes for the Tigers.
Team 4
#106 Kaitlyn Morgan 2028 / 5’3 / SG / Twin Lakes
Kaitlyn has continued increase her role and productivity for the Indians in her first two seasons. She has a strong guard frame, is comfortable handling the ball as needed, and has a nice catch and shot jumper where she can knock down the three in bunches. Plays with energy, active and scrappy on both ends with some physicality despite her shorter stature. As she continues to smooth out her consistency as a finisher she will be leaned on as a go-to player in the Indians lineup this winter.
#107 Kendyl Nolan 2028 / 5’7 / PG / Fountain Central
We noted Kendyl’s play over the summer and really like her as a backcourt athlete. She has some length, a strong frame, glides around the floor with her agility and is a playmaker on both ends with her athleticism and instincts. She can handle the ball as a primary, creates shots at all levels and can defend a few different spots with her physical tools. A bit of an under the radar junior that could make some waves over the next year. She had a really strong and productive camp in our views.
#109 Kei’Maija Hickey 2028 / 5’9 / SG / Muncie Central
As athletic as any prospect in the class. Long wiry frame, quick and shifty to the basket and can make plays on both ends with her athleticism. Electric in the open court with her quickness and elevation at the basket. Handles the ball as needed, can defend multiple spots with her length and agility and can go grab boards against forwards. Enters her junior year with two productive varsity seasons under her belt. As expected, she stood out during camp with her athletic play in transition and going to the basket.
#113 Isabella Knitter 2028 / 5’9 / CG / Columbia City
Was able to see Bella a few times over the summer and noted her versatile athletic play. She has nice length, a strong frame, and solid backcourt skillset. Shows ability to score the ball in a variety of ways and is comfortable handling the ball as needed. Can defend several spots with her length and agility and does a really nice job of going grabbing boards from the guard spot. One to keep an eye on in the 28’ class as she continues to polish her skillset. Coaches really liked how productive she was in multiple areas without having to dominate the basketball.
#140 Ariana Dasgupta 2029 / 5’3 / SG / Plainfield
Ariana missed her frosh season due to a knee injury but is making her way back. Solid athlete from the backcourt, can handle the ball as needed, and plays with a nice motor. Shoots it well from the three-point line, crafty and skilled to the basket with a quick first step. Be interesting to see where she fits in the talented and deep Quaker program.
#141 Brooklynn Dowden 2029 / 6’2 / PF / Franklin Central
Brooklynn has a tremendous amount of upside as a post prospect in the 29’ class. She will have to wait her turn on a talented and deep Flashes squad but would expect she will start making an impact soon. She can protect the paint with her length, reach and mobility and rebounds her area. Offensively, she is fairly fluid in her post moves and creates shots with her length. As she continues to add strength, she will be handful in the near future. The coaches appreciated her aggressive and physical persistence at the basket throughout camp and named her to the All-Camp team.
#165 Eliana DeLeon 2030 / 5’9 / PF / Highland
Eiliana has some length, a strong frame for her age and is a solid athlete on both ends. She shows the willingness to be aggressive and take on contact on her attacks to the basket. She is comfortable with the ball, can make plays out of the mid-post and stays active on both ends rebounding her area and bringing some versatility to the defensive end with her size and mobility.
#170 Monee Dozier 2029 / 5’9 / SG / Franklin Central
Monee has nice wiry length to her guard frame, is a solid athlete, with a balanced backcourt game. She can handle the ball as needed, is fluid and instinctual on the attack and shows the ability to create space for herself and teammates. Overall, she showed nice athletic tools and play throughout the day. With a talented senior class at FC she will wait her turn but should make her mark at the varsity level soon.
#185 Makayla Minnis 2029 / 5’7 / PG / Randolph Southern
Makayla had a productive frosh season for the Rebels. Stays active on both ends, can handle the ball some and initiate offense as needed and shows nice balance between her jumpers and attacks. Shoots the rock well from the three-point line, as she showed by winning the PPC three-point competition. Would expect her role to continue to grow this coming season.
#205 Peyton Catey 2030 / 5’6 / CG / Hagerstown
Was a bit familiar with Peyton previously and thought she showed well among the frosh at camp. She has a strong guard frame, shows a mature approach to her game for a youngster and was active and productive during the day. She can handle the ball as needed, plays with solid instincts and shows the ability to score the ball in a variety of ways. Nice balance between her attacks and jumper that extends to the three-point line. Would expect she will have an immediate impact at the varsity level this coming season for the Tigers.
