Triton Central HS
Look at the players from Team 1 & 2 at Sunday’s 10th annual IGBRR Preseason Prospect Camp at Triton Central HS.
Teams 1
#94 Kambry Shoults 2028 / 5’7 / SG / Northview
We been a fan of Kambry’s game for a while and think she is one of the more under the radar prospects in the 28’ class and she displayed that at PPC. She is a solid athlete in all aspects of her game, can handle the ball as needed, scores it at all levels while being able to knock down the long ball in bunches. Her and Schrader will make up a very productive 1-2 punch this winter and expect Kambry to pick up even more ball handling responsibilities this season. She was named to the All-Camp team by the coaches for her consistent and productive performance on the day.
#110 Brooke Oldham 2028 / 5’6 / CG / Tri-West
Brooke is a solid athlete, plays with nice energy and shows good balance in her backcourt game. Strong frame for her size, agile on the attack with natural instincts. She is a pesky defender with quick hands that creates turnovers and transition. She does a good job of tracking down boards from the guard spot. Would expect her role to grow considerably this year for the Bruins considering their graduation from last year’s squad.
#134 Brooklynn Boyd 2029 / 5’7 / SG / North Judson
Multi-sport athlete, strong base with nice length to her frame, comfortable with the ball from the perimeter, can put straight line drive together and finish around the bucket, capable shooter out to the three-point line. Got a small taste of varsity play as a frosh and would expect her role to continue to expand this year with the ability to provide some versatility for the Blue Jays.
#138 Evelyn Coberg 2029 / 5’11 / PF / North Judson
Evelyn is a very intriguing prospect with her combination of length, agility and ability to play from the wing. She can defend several spots with her size and mobility, is aggressive to the glass against frontliners and can stretch the floor with the ability to pop the three. As she continues to add strength and polish her skillet she has nice upside.
#156 Justyce Burse 2030 / 5’7 / SG / Lawrence North
Believe this was our first time seeing Justyce and her athleticism on both ends of the floor is what initially jumps out. She can handle the ball as needed from the guard spot, is on the attack and is shifty and crafty as a slasher to the basket. Solid instincts, good energy with a balanced backcourt approach.
#172 Chloe Karcher 2029 / 5’4 / PG / Evansville Mater Dei
Chloe is a smaller guard but plays with a big motor and is aggressive and feisty in her play on both ends. She can handle from the point, sees the floor well on the move and shows a good feel for the action that you want from a lead guard. The Wildcats return a talented veteran lineup but would expect Chloe will see the rotation in the near future as she continues to work and develop.
#179 Victoria Shotts 2029 / 5’6 / SG / Perry Meridian
We are familiar with Victoria from previous camps and club play and the word effort comes to mind when thinking about her game. She is a high energy player that is going to make plays with her motor on both ends while also having a solid backcourt skillset. She is comfortable handling the ball as needed, good court vision and instincts on the attack and on puts pressure on her matchup on both ends. She has transferred from Center Grove to Perry Meridan where she will have an opportunity to compete for varsity minutes right away.
#202 Amiah Young-Drake 2030 / 5’4 / PG / Marion
Sister of former Kokomo standout MaKaela Drake. Like her sister she is strong for her size, athletic in all aspects of her game and has a playmaking backcourt skillset. She can handle the ball as a primary, is quick and aggressive to the basket with the ability to knock down the three as well. Expect she will make the rotation and have an impact for the Giants sooner rather than later this winter.
#218 Harper Willis 2030 / 5’6 / CG / Michigan City
Harper has some length to her frame, is fluid and athletic on the attack, and can handle the ball as needed. She plays with good energy, consistently puts pressure on her matchup on both ends while staying active and engaged. As she continues add strength to her frame and polish her skillset, she is a nice youngster in the Wolves program to keep an eye on.
#221 Myka Davis 2030 / 6’1 / CG / Mount Vernon
Myka has a big strong post frame and does a nice job of using her frame to create space around the basket. She has the strength and size to bury opponents on the block, shows solid feet and hands on post entry and finishes regularly at the bucket. She rebounds her area and creates a physical presence in the paint.
Team 2
#100 Kayly Cline 2028 / 5’3 / PG / Knightstown
We have mentioned Kayly several times over the last year and really like her game as true PG in the 28’ class. On the smaller side but her instincts and skill offset any size deficiency. She handles as a primary, has a nice feel for the action, plays with good pace and has balance between setting up teammates and getting her buckets. She can knock down the three and has a knack of creating space and shots going to the basket with her skill and athleticism. A bit of an under the radar PG to be noted that once again played very well and was very steady at the event.
#103 Abigail Creviston 2028 / 5’5 / CG / Danville
Abigail’s role has continued to advance through her first two seasons and would expect that to continue going into her junior campaign. She is a nice athlete, solid jumper out to the three-point line, is comfortable handling it as needed and has nice balance to her backcourt game.
#139 Morgan Croff 2029 / 5’10 / SF / Hebron
Morgan hit our radar last year at Prospect Camp with an outstanding showing. She went on to get some varsity time for Kouts as a frosh but has since transferred to Hebron. She is long and fluid with a good deal of versatility on both ends. She is comfortable with the ball from the perimeter and can make plays going to the basket with her length and agility. She rebounds against forwards and can defend several spots with her size and mobility. A youngster to note as she continues to add to her skillset. She had another solid camp, which included a runner-up finish in the Hot Shot competition,
#147 Kynzley Richardson 2029 / 6’0 / PF / Benton Central
We ran into Kynzley this July and noted her as a long fluid frontline prospect with a lot of upside. She has length with wingspan and moves around the court well showing nice nimbleness around the basket. She can attack out of the mid-post, is comfortable with the ball away, and makes plays with her long frame. Defensively she has some versatility with her size and mobility and rebounds her area. A frontline prospect in the 29’ class to keep an eye on as her skillset progresses and she adds strength. She had a nice productive showing at camp.
#154 Ariah Cook 2029 / 5’8 / PG / Homestead
It seems every kid from Homestead can shoot the rock and Ariah is no different showing the ability to knock down jumpers from different spots on the floor. She is comfortable handling the ball as needed, makes good reads on the move and is balanced in her approach. Not easy to break into the talented and deep Spartan lineup and sure she will just have to wait her turn and be ready as others in front of her have done.
#155 Meeya Blanford 2030 / 5’8 / SG / Northeastern
Meeya probably created as much buzz as any prospect at camp Sunday as she certainly caught the attention of many of the coaches and evaluators. She has nice length to her frame, is a solid athlete, played confident with the ball as a youngster and her smooth lefty jumper was consistently on target. Nice balance between finesse and physical play that creates a good deal of versatility in her game. I would expect she could make an impact for the Knight’s pretty quickly in her upcoming high school career. She was runner-up in the three-point contest and was named to the All-Camp team by the coaches.
#163 Kaleigha Newton 2030 / 5’6 / PG / Muncie Central
We caught Kaleigh a few times over the summer playing up with her club team and noted her physical aggressive skilled play as a youngster. She has a strong frame for her age, can handle the ball as needed and is on the attack with a balanced instinctual game from the guard spot. Would figure she will be an immediate contributor for Muncie Central this coming season. She had as good of a showing as any frosh at the camp.
#189 Faith Kirsch 2029 / 5’4 / PG / Evansville North
Solid athlete, handles as a primary, with a good feel for the game. On the smaller side but has a strong base and plays with good energy on both ends. Seems to bring consistent reliable decision making from the lead guard spot. Faith saw a few games of action at the varsity level a year ago as frosh for the 4A Huskies.
#213 JJ Robinson 2030 / 5’2 / PG / Avon
JJ is on the smaller side right now but plays with nice grit and gets after it on both ends of the court. Can handle the ball from the point, initiate offense, sees the floor well and shows nice anticipation for the play. She has a solid backcourt skillset to build on as she continues to add strength and polish her game as a youngster
#233 Mariyah Marshall 2027 / 5’7 / SG / Beech Grove
After two productive varsity seasons to start her career Mariyah missed her junior season with an injury. She is back and ready to have a impactful senior campaign for the Hornets. She has a strong guard frame, is athletic and aggressive on both ends with a good deal of versatility in her game. Capable of handling the ball as needed, can create shots in a variety of ways, and will go rebound against forwards. A bit under the radar after missing last summer.
