25 Stack Ranked, 50 Watchlist Alphabetically

Always exciting to take the first stab at starting to shape the top of the freshman class. It’s extremely early in the process as we only took our first intentional looks & evals of the 2029 prospects in the July eval period just six months ago, outside those we have seen come through the Indiana Futures camp. We saw several of the prospects making impacts at the varsity level already and ran into some new faces in our travels this winter as well. This upcoming Spring/Summer club season the class will become a focal point of our evals allowing us to add additional talent to the watchlist and get a better feel of our current crop of talent through multiple views.

The initial 2029 prospect watchlist debuted in October, just prior to the high school season and after the fall showcase/camps. That list featured sixty freshmen, simply listed as Watchlist in alphabetical order. The Winter update now stack ranks 25 of the top players in the class that we have viewed to this point, while listing another fifty on the alphabetical WL for an expanded list of seventy-five prospects. Following are few highlights from the update.

Our initial #1 prospect in the class is 5’10 Tennessee move in Laine Lyles of Culver Academies. A five-tool player that has length from the guard spot, elite athleticism and a smooth versatile skillset. She had a big summer picking up multiple P4 D1 offers, impressed at the IGBRR All-Indiana Showcase and has starred in her freshman season at Culver Academies. IGBRR #2 prospect Savayah Mittchell, Pike, has had a very productive frosh season despite coming into an already loaded lineup for the 4A #1 Red Devils. Crafty and athletic playmaker that has a poised instinctual backcourt game. #3 prosect and top forward is Hamilton Heights Riley Suarez that possesses a long strong frame paired with a fluid skilled game from the wing. She brings tremendous versatility on both ends with her size, agility and skill.

Fifteen new prospects also enter the expanded 2029 Watchlist. A couple names to note from that group that have had breakout freshman seasons include Saniyah Davenport (Avon), Tatum Skibinski (Ben Davis), Avery Paridaen (Gibson Southern) and Ruby Grogg (Huntington North).  The entire Winter Update for the IGBRR 2029 Class Prospect Watchlist can be viewed HERE  (yearly subscribers or college coach subscription required)
