A look at IGBRR Junior Watchlist Winter Update

The junior year is a pivotal season where potential should be turning into consistent production for most and those have waited their turn in the bigger powerhouse programs should be breaking into the rotation to showcase their ability to contribute at the highest levels. While there will be a bit less volatility from update to update there is still plenty of time and evals to make big leaps and impressions. The list of 185 junior prospect saw ten new players added to the Watchlist and another thirty players make moves by ten or more spots and down the watchlist. The Watchlist contains 155 stacked ranked prospects, followed by another 30 on the list as “Watchlist” alphabetically.

While the names in the top ten of the class stayed the same, the list did see movement from seven of those prospects. The margin from one to ten (ICCR# that college coaches see) is about as tight as we have had for any class. The names in the top 30 stayed the same with some minor movement, while Carlee Schrader (Northview) continues her rise in the class breaking into the top forty at #39, while Taylor Mack (Eastside) #45, Maidson Jones (Fairfield) #48, and Riley Roberts (Floyd Central) all broke into the top 50.

Others in the top 100 that made significant jumps included #70 Taylor Weyer (Gibson Southern), #79 Alexis Harris (South Spencer), #85 Allison Ambers (Northridge), and #99 Izzy Stillabower (Franklin). Two players that made their initial appearance into the top 100 prospects in the junior class included #77 Mia Becher (Heritage Hills) and #100 Novea Brandon (Chesterton).

As noted, ten players made their debut on the Watchlist in the winter update and a few of those included #101 Sammie Nusbaum (BNL), #146 Leah Heldman (Mater Dei), #151 Moriah Armstrong (Plainfield) and #155 Olivia Stowers (Beech Grove).
