One of the more significant developments in the class’s top 10 was the departure of the former #3 prospect Nyomi Hahn of Marion who opted to leave the state to play at Montverde Academy prep school in Florida. Also to note #5 prospect Susanna Perego sustained an injury over the summer that will keep her out most of the upcoming high school season as well. #7 Zoie Walls is heading to a new home as she transferred to Cascade and #3 Riley Schellhammer will start her first complete season at Greenfield Central, after playing in only two sectional games last season after transferring in. Finally, Makenna Taylor of Jeffersonsville who had previously spent time in the top 10 re-enters at #10.
Players that made a jump into the top 20 for the first time included, #13 Leah Werth, Homestead, who had a standout summer and also committed to Eastern Michigan recently. Along with Pendleton Heights transfer #18 Reagan Reiff and West Lafayette frontliner 6’3 Amaya St.Hillaire at #19.
Others that moved into the top 50 were #45 Zanariae White, Terre Haute South, #47 Maddy Watko, Cathedral, #49 Mary Bleke of Bellmont, and #50 Zion Hunt, Lawrence North. White, who we have seen a couple times in high school play and is a track star, played in July club play and displayed her productive athleticism at that level and made a statement to make her one of the biggest movers in the fall update.
Two players moving back into the top 75 are club teammates #71 Lorelei Lanie, Seegar and #73 Nora Thomann, North Vermillion. Both had very productive summers and came into the All-Indiana Showcase and had very good showings against some of the state’s elite talent as well.
A couple prospects moving up from the watchlist into the top 100 included #82 Claire Webster, New Albany and sharpshooter #83 Kahlen Adams, Greensburg.
Twelve prospects came from the non-ranked watchlist to be included in the expanded 115 player stack ranking. An additional twenty prospects making the overall watchlist for the first time. All those player players can be viewed HERE on the IGBRR 2028 Class Watchlist
