The summer (July) IGBRR Watchlist update dropped on Thursday July 2nd and following are a few notes from the classes twelfth update.
In just the eighth update for the 2028 class there was essentially no movement in the top 16 prospects. The biggest mover in the Top 20 was playmaking guard and recent Ben Davis transfer Chami Williams moving up fourteen spots to enter the Top 20 at #16. Evansville Reitz forward Kierstyn Kaiser also moved into the Top 25, moving up fifteen spots, as she continued to show well over the spring with her versatile length and agility.
Not surprisingly several frontline prospects made big jumps as their skillsets start to catch up with their physical tools. Brianna Dailey, Oak Hill, continued her solid run coming off the state runner-up finish with appearances in a couple IBCA “All-Star” events moving up twenty-four spots into the Top 50 at #45. 6’3 Brownsburg post Naomi Oniyide was productive this spring on an extremely talented club team and is poised for a breakout season for the Bulldogs moving into the Top 50. Lengthy 6’3 Zyah Jones, Crispus Attucks, possesses a lot of upsides with her size and agility shooting up to #60 on the IGBRR Class Watchlist.
A few other notable prospects on the move include Hallie Daniels, North Central, who charges into the Top 50, forward Maddie White, FW Snider, and Leyla Smiley, Park Tudor, that land in the Top 75. While post Myra Finnity, GCA, and guard Hazel Leffers, Whitko, both break into the Top 100.
Ten new prospects enter the Watchlist bringing the total to 175 players now featured on the 2028 IGBRR Class Watchlist.
The only current college commitment on the list is from the #4 prospect in the class Riley Schellhammer, Greenfield-Central, who is committed to Villanova.
