2022-23 Class 3A Terrific Twelve
IGBRR Preseason Report

Following are twelve stat stuffers in the 3A arena. They would be highly productive at any level but are flat out dominate at the 3A level. If you are looking for the best of what 3A has to offer look no further, then these “Terrific Twelve”.
(Not a ranking as a college prospect)

 

12. Adrianne Tolen / JR / 5’10 / CG / West Lafayette
Over her first two seasons Adrianne has averaged some lofty numbers at 16 PPG, 6 RPG, 4 SPG and 3 APG. She is on pace for nearly 1300 points and 500 rebounds. She is long, athletic and has an aggressive and instinctual playmaking game on both ends. She can get buckets in a variety of ways at all levels but is at her best on the attack using her athleticism, length, and skill. She is an Indiana Junior All-Star candidate.

 

11. Brea Garber / SR / 6’0 / SF / Fairfield
Brea’s Fairfield team has moved up to 3A this season and she becomes one of the most versatile and productive players in the class. The 6’0 forward can handle the ball, attack from the wing and operate around the bucket with her agility and length. She can play and defend nearly every spot on the floor. The Indiana Wesleyan commit averaged 15.6 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and 3 SPG as a junior on a final four squad that won 24 games.

 

10. Emily Mattingly / SR / 5’10 / CG / Evansville Memorial
Emily had a breakout season as a junior averaging 14.2 PPG and 4 RPG. She has been a solid contributor to a program that has won 61 games since her freshman year and has grown her production and contribution each year. Emily has a strong guard frame, plays with a big motor and has a deceptively athletic game from the backcourt. She also helped lead her soccer team to the 3A state title this year and the Indiana Wesleyan commit is poised for a big season on the basketball court.

 

9. Makaya Porter / SR / 5’11 / SF / Mishawaka Marian
Makaya has put up some eye-popping numbers in her first there years at 18.8 PPG and 8.7 RPG, all while sharing the ball with another 1000-point scorer the last two seasons. She is long, athletic and has a versatile game that allows her to operate around the rim with her strength and agility or from the wing where she can get buckets in a variety of ways. Unfortunately, the Indiana Junior All-Star selection sustained an injury this summer and will miss a majority of her senior season with a scheduled return date in January.

 

8. Olivia Nickerson / JR / 5’7 / SG / Twin Lakes
Through two seasons Olivia has established herself as one of the top shooters regardless of class or grade by leading the state with 186 triples on 39% shooting from behind the line. As a sophomore she averaged 18.2 PPG and 2.6 APG. She will surpass 1000 career points early in her junior season and is on pace to be a 2000-point scorer. Olivia can handle as primary when needed, has instincts for the action on both ends, and can flat-out shoot the rock with range. She is an Indiana Junior All-Star candidate.

 

7. Ava Weber / SR / 5’11 / CG / Corydon Central
Ava my not be familiar to those outside of southern Indiana, as she doesn’t play club ball, but make no mistake that she has as an athletic game as anyone in 3A and has put up some big numbers over her first three seasons averaging 18 PPG, 8 RPG. She is on pace to collect over 1500 career points and 600 rebounds. She is quite unique in that she handles the ball from the guard spot put doesn’t shoot the three and has an aggressive and athletic game going to the rim and gets to the free throw line as much as anyone. She rebounds at a high level from the guard spot and can defend nearly any position with her strength and agility.

 

6. Bailey Kelham / SR / 5’10 / SF / Garrett
Bailey has been one of the top scorers in 3A since she was a freshman and scored a school record 45 points in just her twelfth varsity contest. She has gone on to collect over 1250 career points and nearly 500 rebounds entering her senior season. As a junior she averaged 16.2 PPG and 5.2 RPG. She has athletic length and an aggressive attacking game from the wing that allows her to create scoring chances on her way to the bucket while being a solid jump shooter out to the three-point line. She was selected to the Indiana Junior All-Star team.

 

5. Camryn Runner / JR / 5’9 / CG / Hamilton Heights
Camryn is one of the more dynamic guards in the junior class with the ability to handle as a primary, get buckets at all levels with her skill and athleticism and is a playmaker on both ends with her instincts. As a junior she averaged 17 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and 3 SPG. Across her first two season she has already collected over 750 points and 230 rebounds. She is an Indiana Junior All-Star candidate.

 

4. Renna Schwieterman / SR / 6’0 / SF / Jay County
Renna has been one of the most productive forwards in the class since she stepped onto the court as a frosh. She has over 1200 career points and is closing in on 500 rebounds as she enters her senior season. As a junior, the Purdue Fort Wayne commit averaged 18.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG and 4.5 APG. She has a long strong frame, an athletic game and has versatility that allows her to operate at the basket, attack from the wing, and she has also nearly double her three-point output each season which included 48 triples her junior season at a 42% clip. She was selected as an Indiana Junior All-Star.

 

3. Faith Wiseman / JR / 6’4 / PF / Indian Creek
Faith is extremely long with wingspan and combine that with her agility and ability to handle the ball from the wing and she has an incredible amount of upside that she is starting to tap into. As a sophomore she averaged a double of 12.2 PPG and 11 RPG, along with 3.2 BPG. She has over 500 points and nearly 500 rebounds entering her junior season which puts her on pace for the exclusive 1000/1000 club. The Indiana commit is an Indiana Junior All-Star candidate.

 

2. Nevaeh Foster / SR / 5’9 / PG / Mishawaka Marian
Nevaeh, Western Kentucky commit, has been among the top 3A scorers each of her first three varsity seasons. As a junior she averaged 19.5 PPG, 5 RPG and 3.4 APG for her 20-win Knights. She has already eclipsed 1500 points and is closing in on 400 rebounds. She has a strong guard frame, shows the ability to score it at all levels with 157 career threes but excels at her aggressive and physical down hill attacks of the bucket. The Indiana All-Star candidate is one the elite scorers in any class.


1. Makenna Layden / SR / 6’2 / CG / Northwestern
The 6’2 Purdue commit, and Indiana Junior All-Star averaged 22 PPG, 6.2 RPG, and 4 APG as a junior. She has collected over 1100 points, 400 rebounds and 300 assist over her first three years, which includes a 4A state runner-up as a frosh. Makenna is long, skilled, and as about as versatile as the come. She can score the ball in a variety of ways at all levels. Defensively she is disruptive with her length and can go get boards with her agility and reach. She was selected as an Indiana Junior All-Star and is a Miss Basketball candidate entering the season.
